NOTE: According to GHL, Category, Keywords, Author, and Slug CANNOT be updated after publishing the blog.
Ensure your blog posts have a few key SEO elements to will make them far more impactful in attracting new traffic to your site:
Keep the number of posts displayed on the landing page to 6 or 9.
See if a grid of thumbnails is possible, rather than the thumbnail and text side-by-side
Strategically keyworded titles (ex instead of “Dancer Pose” something like “Mastering Dancer Pose: Improve Balance, Flexibility, and Strength with Tips from Expert Trainers")
Add more links out (we see you starting to do this with more recent posts!)
Add categories (note that GHL website says you can’t edit categories once blog is posted so be strategic when setting up your categories)
Ensure you have a domain attached to the blog so your posts are branded with the main SITH domain
Make them longer: Our research suggests the ideal length for fitness/yoga blogs is 1,000-1,500 words—long enough to provide value but not too overwhelming.
Adding quality visuals will boost engagement and adding alt text to those visuals will boost SEO
Use more design to help organize your posts, break up long text and focus attention.
Add a call to action at the end of each post that sells something, and offset it with design elements (if possible) such as a line before the CTA/sales moment
Bonus: Add a Pinterest-friendly graphic at the end of each post to encourage others to do some marketing for you! We think Big Cat Creative is doing these last two items well!
