MELT Recovery

MELT is a gentle yet incredibly effective self-care method designed to help your body recover, reduce tension, improve mobility, and calm your nervous system from the inside out, so you leave class feeling restored.

Using specialized soft rollers and therapy balls, the MELT Method helps rehydrate connective tissue (fascia), release stuck stress, and improve how your body moves and feels. Many members say they “float out of the room” after class.

Whether you’re strength training, taking group fitness classes, sitting at a desk all day, training for a race, or simply feeling stiff and sore from life, MELT can help you move through your days with more ease and less tension.

Recover Better. Move Better. Feel Better.

The MELT Method® (Myofascial Energetic Length Technique) is a science-backed self-treatment technique created by manual therapist and exercise physiologist Sue Hitzmann, and taught at Studio in the Heights by Edya K.

This class is designed to help restore balance to the body by improving the health of your connective tissue system and calming the nervous system. Unlike aggressive foam rolling or intense stretching, MELT uses soft tools and gentle techniques to support recovery without pain or strain. Think of it as “hands-off bodywork” that helps your body function more efficiently.

MELT may help:

  • Reduce soreness and stiffness

  • Improve flexibility and joint mobility

  • Enhance workout recovery

  • Improve posture and alignment

  • Support better balance and stability

  • Help prevent overuse injuries

  • Increase body awareness and movement efficiency

Many people notice changes after class like less tension, easier movement, deeper breathing, and a greater sense of calm.
