Make Time for Fitness
Many struggle to make time for exercise while traveling or on vacation. When the inbox still needs to be checked, the kids have to be bathed, fed, and shuttled, and you're on the run.
That's precisely when your workouts and self-care are most important. Even a few minutes of physical activity can dramatically improve your mood, and that's good for you, the kids, and your significant other.
So how can you make time for exercise when life feels a little out of control?
1. KEEP YOUR WORKOUT CLOTHES HANDY
You can get a run or speed walk wherever you are, even for only 20 minutes.
2. JOG YOUR ERRANDS
Run to the post office or the grocery store.
3. SCHEDULE YOUR WORKOUTS
Make time for exercise by putting workouts on the calendar. Schedule your day around them. That way, you get them in.
4. WORKOUT WHILE THE KIDS ARE PLAYING
Jog circles around the playground. Do push-ups on a park bench, squats on the beach, etc. When they're getting their workouts in, you can too!
5. GET UP EARLIER
Do workouts before the kids are up. Trade-off days with the spouse, and tag in when you get back.
6. MASTER MINDSET
Remember working out is essential for your health, well-being, and mindset. And that makes it good for those around you, as well.
Remember, even small bursts of physical activity can be beneficial. It's not about finding the perfect time; it's about making the most of the time you have.
