The Power of Personal Training

In the era of easy access dominated by ClassPass and mega fitness brands like Orange Theory and Peleton, as well as social media, we have more access to fitness than ever before. Yet every week we meet people who are tired of the one size fits all approach and frustrated with taking endless amounts of random classes but getting little to no results and support.

One of the most important parts of our job as fitness professionals is to inform and educate our clients so that they become empowered to make smart choices for their own health and fitness. This learning process is our favorite part of the whole personal training process!

It all begins when a new client comes in for their initial assessment session. This is where we not only get to know them as a person and learn about their challenges and goals, but also watch them move and get to know them as a mover.

The assessment process allows us to identify where you are so that we can formulate a customized plan to help you get to where you want to be, safely and effectively. This is something that no online workout or crowded group class can accomplish!

The rest of the process for the client is simply to keep showing up and be consistent. Be prepared to learn and repeat, a lot! Here's where consistent practice of the fundamentals will set you apart from all your friends who are constantly switching up their workouts but not really improving. By progressively adding challenges to movements you've taken the time to master with the support of a qualified coach, you'll make steady and lasting progress.

Nothing quite builds confidence and signifies growth like being able to perform a challenging movement you used to struggle with, or being able to pick up a weight that you never thought you could use!
